Hi Carly and fellow followers! I think a blog to share experiences as pre-service teachers is a wonderful idea. I have found a fantastic website where teachers new to the business can talk with experienced teachers and ask questions questions questions, and I'm sure we could all benefit from that!

ReplyDeleteThis Blog is great! I have been enjoying myself immensely whilst reading over all your experiences so far! I especially liked your blog entrance about the fire drill, early childhood students really don't understand some of these practices that we have to fulfil whilst at school and they have quite the imagination! I think having a blog that we can write on as pre-services teachers is definitely a great resource to have as sharing experiences is great and we all learn from others mistakes/ or learn about things that can entertain us (e.g. your fire drill contribution).
Thank you also for sharing the beloved Sparkle box with your readers! This website is a great place to gain resources about every KLA and topic and the best thing about it, is that its FREE! Now you can’t say that too much in this world can you!

ReplyDeleteThank you for creating your blog about your prac experiences. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about your placements. I agree with Teri, children really just don’t understand how important it is for us to practice little things like fire drills, as they can save lives if children know what to do if they are ever in that kind of situation. I think maybe our early childhood group should create a blog to share our experiences and resources with each other as I’m sure we would all benefit from it.
Sparkle box is a resource that I have also found very useful and will definitely use it when I have my own class. There are just so many ideas for each KLA!
